smoothie bowls


Well this weather can only mean one thing - beautiful, Bali style smoothie bowls!!

Smoothies bowls are a brilliant way to sneak in some of your fruit and veg intake for the day, they are exciting to make, pretty to look at and taste so good, especially when the sun is shining like it is now in the UK.


They are very simple to make, you just need a blender. These are so much fun for kids to get involved in too.

See below for how to make the base, and then its your turn to get creative with the toppings!!

for the base:

200ml milk (plant based if dairy free)

1 tablespoon yoghurt (soy or coconut or other dairy free alternative)

1 x frozen banana

130g frozen tropical fruit mix such as pineapple, mango, kiwi OR a mixed berry mix

1 handful spinach / kale (optional)


toppings (all of your choice):

1 teaspoon chia seeds / desiccated coconut / granola (link to my homemade granola HERE), pumpkin seeds, nut butter, fruit such as banana, grapes, strawberries, kiwi, berries etc.


method


Place all of the smoothie based ingredients into a blender and blend until smooth

add your toppings in the most creative way possible
