turmeric latte

 

turmeric latte, df, gf, ve

1 cup of almond, coconut or oat milk

1 heaped teaspoon turmeric powder (or 1 inch piece of fresh turmeric root, peeled and grated)

1/2 tsp ground ginger (or 1cm piece fresh ginger root, peeled and grated)

cracked black pepper

1/2 teaspoon coconut oil

optional: 1/2 tsp cinnamon or 1tsp honey (I find it sweet enough without these)

 

method

blend all ingredients until smooth and frothy

heat gently for 5 minutes

if using fresh ginger or turmeric, warm for a further 5 minutes and strain before drinking
